| I'm
a neighbor and friend as well
as a professional. I believe that
we must all pay back our community
for the favors and blessings we
receive. Before moving to Mora,
I served as |

a member of the
Brooklyn Park Planning Commission
for 5 years. My first-born daughter
was blind, retarded and physically
handicapped. She made me grow
up, take responsibility and examine
where I could help her as well
as others. So, I became active
in the Minnesota Association for
Retarded Citizens lobbying the
legislature for things like cuts
in the curb to make it easier
to push wheel chairs onto sidewalks
as well as many other issues that
have helped challenged people
over the years. Meals on Wheels
is also a special way I have served
my community. |

| My heroes are my
grandparents who immigrated from
Europe in 1906, settled on a farm
in Douglas County, MN and taught
their 11 children and 25 grandchildren
to work proudly and honestly.
I also have to give a gold star
to Stephen Covey…his philosophy
has shown me how to work smarter...not
just harder. We are never too
young or too old to learn |
